On March 3, the winners of 4th Qingshan Science and Technology Award were announced. With ten honorees awarded nationwide each session, Prof. Guo Xiaodong, Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering at Sichuan University (SCU), was among the list, also the first time a faculty member from SCU has received the distinguished accolade.

Focusing on structural regulation and scaled-up production of key materials for secondary batteries, Prof. Guo’s research has achieved significant industrial application. In the future, he will be dedicated to develop ultra-high nickel solid-state batteries with enhanced energy density and safety, promoting high-quality development of energy storage technology.
Award Introduction
The Qingshan Science and Technology Award supports researchers under the age of 45 who work full-time in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, and whose contributions significantly advance fields such as material science, chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science and energy science. Annually awarded to no more than 10 recipients, each honoree receives a total 1 million yuan.
